Lazy Summer Days with Strawberries

How we are rounding out the last of summer:

I love strawberries.
Ripe and red, small and sweet and grown in the backyard.

As summer comes slowly to a close the girls and I can't help but hunt through Poppa's strawberry pots growing in the backyard.
As the sunshine streams down these sweet little berries ripen to taste of golden sun as they are picked straight from the plant and popped in the mouth.
The plants are slowly retiring from their crops of red but the last few for the season are the best treasure one could find on a hot Summers day = strawberry swoon!
Sweet green strawberry leaves and the prettiest strawberry flowers fill the yard as we hunt for what may just be the last one.

Strawberries are beautiful.
Why not plant some with your children for lot's of giggles and watching them grow excitement.

What is your favourite type of berry of the Summer and what do you like to eat them with?
