#othursday (Other Thursday)

Showing off the beauty that others are being and bringing:

I love others!

My #othursday goes to Fox In Flats.

I adore this site. I really adore this site, this site is amazing - total fashion help swooning.

Meet Andrea creator of Fox in Flats. She is absolutely gorgeous and her site is all about doing motherhood in style.

I am a regular visitor, reading up on as many of her fabulous tips for fashion, beauty and motherhood as I can and I really have no idea how I survived before her site with all those broken night sleeps, Vegemite hand smears, and the school yard mums mingle while trying to keep stylish.

You will love Fox In Flats as it is all things feminine and fun while we do the thing we love most - being a mother (and of course the rest). There is tips and advice for working in the office to what to wear at the park and wonderful interviews with our favourite celebs and how they are doing fashion and motherhood.
It is practical, realistic, very stylish helpful and brings beauty no matter your personal vibe.

This site = fashion perfect.

Fox In Flats is bringing the beauty and Andrea is beautiful - making mums around the world feel gorgeous.
Thank you Andrea for being the beautiful to all us girls.

Simple and Yummy Rainy Day Treat

I love raisin toast.

Slightly sweet, burst of fruity gems, buttery taste bud enjoyment.

It has been raining the last couple of days and it feels cold and gloomy. The wind is blowing, it is wet everywhere, and there is a chill in the air.  This weather means one thing: It's time for a spot of tea and a little warm treat.
With no home baking in the pantry (oops - been to busy) I opt for an easy delicious treat = raisin toast.

It's warm, I smother it in fresh cold butter (the butter has to be cold) and I pair it with a cup of tea of choice.
It is delicious, yum, hits the rainy day blues spot and brings a small, dreamy ahhhhhhh delightful and satisfied smile.
It's such a simple, easy treat but it is perfect. I always keep a loaf in the freezer read for such a day as today when I need a warm treat and could not be bothered baking .

Raisin toast is beautiful.

Do you have a favourite treat for a rainy day?

Your Heart Matters

I love that you as the women in the house are the heart.
You make the house a home.

You were created and born beautiful bringing the unique gift that sets you apart as a gorgeous women: you are the heart in the place you live.

It has nothing to do with being perfect, or being the best cook, cleaner, being organised or not, bad days or good.
It has everything to do with the love you bring.

You bring the love that creates warmth, brings the nourishment and pure care for the other hearts who surround you. You are encouragement, a hug, that kiss, you listen, you share, you give, you make and create, you teach, you are memories, you are always there. You are cheer, joy and fun.
You bring what no one else but you can in your own style and way.
You are irreplaceable  It is your diverseness, uniqueness, quirky ways, and your own beauty that turns your house into that home.
Your heart is priceless, so valuable, precious, the treasure of the house as - mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend.

You bringing your heart brings the beautiful.

You are beautiful
You are home.

Feel free to share this with a friend who needs encouragement today.
Swooning over you.

Rose Petal Swoon

I love rose petals.

Velvet and soft, the prettiest of colours, simply elegant.

I have always loved roses. The really are gorgeous and who can resist being given one or a dozen as a gift.
As much of the whole flower is beautiful I do love using the petals too.

Some of my favourite simple rose petal uses are:
(Ps if using for eating/drinking purposes you want chemical free ones or organic ones from your yard.)

- Sprinkle them in the bath water and light a candle and you have a home spa (for five minutes at least until someone knocks or barges in :) ).
- Ice a yummy cake in: white, pale pink, peach, light yellow or chocolate icing. Decorate with a scatter of rose petals = amazing and no one will resist a slice.
- Dried rose petals look gorgeous in a glass pot of brewing tea for your guest.
- Why not freeze some leaves in ice-cubes. Add them to glasses of  sparkling water or a punch bowl of pink deliciousness.
- Send a letter to a friend and include some dried petals in the envelope and even a dash of rose essential oil or perfume to seal the encouragement or love.
- Use for anything romantic...I'll let your imagination think of how.
- Decorate a table for dinner with the petals just because.
- Fill clear balloons with petals and blow them up to decorate for a party.
- Place a couple in your daughter's lunch box to discover with an I adore you note - Valentines day is coming.
- bake then into a yummy shortbread biscuit recipe.

There are so many things you can do with rose petals.

Rose petals are beautiful.

What have you used rose petals for around the house?

I'm Not Good With Skinny

I love straight.

You see when this "skinny jean" craze hit I was like: sure, ok, it will pass, whatever, I'm so not doing it.
It did not pass!
It grew on me.
It is the fashion and...
... It's true I actually love skinny too.

The problem is that I was not blessed with those skinny pins that you need to pull off this look that = stunning. The fact is I was just plain old envious of the girls who could wear them and look super stylish.
You see I have hips and I have thighs. I'm not a big girl I've just have been blessed with what I like to call strength in my legs (Let's just go with it, it's a comfort to me :) ) and I have curves.

You will usually find me in a pair of dark blue boot leg jeans but I do confess my secret wish has been to wear those skinnies.  Skinnies, ballet flats, cute top - oh heaven and very in fashion.

It's not going to happen.

Then one day I was out jeans shopping and decide against my bootleg sense to try a pair of straight leg jeans on - I knew I was in denial of my body shape but my want was too great. Maybe there was a middle ground. I just had to see...

... OMG  Hooray !!!!!!!!!!!

I could not believe it, they look great, they totally made my day, and I loved my curves.

Straight leg jeans gave me the appearance of skinny jeans but added enough bulk around my ankles, and a little more room at my knees to even out my curves up top, you know from those hips you get after child birth.
Ahhhhh, so, so, excitedly happy. I finally had that stream line, fashionable look I had been longing for.

I am not good with skinny but straight it works for me.

Straight is beautiful.

What type of jeans girl are you?  - Straight, skinny, bootleg?

Have a gorgeous week.

All About Nothing Really!

I love nothing!

What I mean is those days where you have nothing planned, nowhere to go, no rushing, just nothing!

As a mum I love getting out with my children, doing things with friends and family, with cousins and playmates. I love parties and events but how good are those days (especially on the holidays) where you have nothing, you wake to nothing = ahhhh bliss.

You can sleep in, stay in your pj's, eat cereal for dinner, and go and be wherever you want all at your own leisure and desire - at home or out! (though I would advise changing out of pj's if going out!)

Movie watching on the couch, a stroll to your fave outside hangout, baking that dish you may have wanted to for a long time, kids playing with toys that have been in the cupboard since forever, feeding the ducks, eating ice-cream just because (there is always ice-cream), accidentally falling asleep after lunch on the couch, colouring in for hours, just being, and even dare I say it -  time to just sit being able to do your nails - nail scream!

Nothing is beautiful. (Big full stop. :) )

Ahhh after a nothing day you feel content, as full as it has been with nothing.

Where is your "nothing" spot!
What have you done on a "nothing" day.

Share your nothing day on either:
1. Instagram: @_allthatisbeautiful #nothingisbeautiful
2. At the: all that is beautiful Facebook page.
*I want to see pj's, food, your fave spot to be in, activities of noting etc.....

Some of my nothing shot's on my nothing doing days:

Just being.

Ice-cream!!!

Couch sitting, movie watching and our unglamorous look.
(This look is very important on a nothing day).

Colouring in.

Sneaky arvo accidental nap - the best!

Just being wherever we want to be.

Toy fun pulled from the back of the cupboard.

Still in my pj's lounging.

Easy baking just because.

Nail scream!
