I love Love.

Yes it is Valentines day and I am swooning over hearts, the colour red and chocolate.

Valentines day is the perfect excuse to tell the people around you how much you care and yes love them.

My girls woke to two red chocolate hearts and I have packed marshmallow treats as a yummy surprise in their lunch boxes with an I love you note. The Recipe is below so you can have fun making your own.

Valentines day is not just for lovers it for anyone who you want to let know that you appreciate and care for them.

This day = perfect for mushiness.

Valentines day is beautiful and about being the beautiful to those around you.

Super Cute Marshmallow Treats:


100g white or milk chocolate pieces
100’s and 1000’s, sugar flowers or sprinkles
Bamboo skewers
Marshmallows

Pour sprinkles into a small bowl.
Pour chocolate pieces into a bowl and then melt in the microwave on medium heat stirring every 30 seconds until runny.
Take one marshmallow and dip the end into the melted chocolate so the chocolate coats the end and down
the sides a little.
Next dip the marshmallow’s chocolate end into the bowl of sprinkles or decorate with sugar flowers.
Allow to cool and set on a plate. Repeat with other marshmallows.
Once set poke marshmallows onto the end of skewers.
Serve as the cutest lollipops ever.

Sometimes You Just Need Bright Pink Heels.

I love Bright Pink Heels.

There are those times in life where that curve ball has been played and left you wondering: how on earth, why on earth, what did I do, why, why, why?

These moments in life are not fun, actually they are downright painful and leave us lost for words, thought or reason.
There is a time for all emotion in these moments and you are allowed to just be what you feel.
Then there is a time for bright pink heels.

Yep, standing up, slipping on, and walking wearing bright pink heels.
What I mean by this is remembering to be the very you of you amidst it all - beautiful feminine you.

At the very core of you is what you believe about you, under all those curve ball layers. In these hard days and experience you get to remember you and dare to believe the whisper of truth about you.

Dare to believe:

1. You are the beautiful - created to be and bring the one of a kind beauty that only you can.

2. You are bold. I struggle with this one but it's true none the less. You can stand up in full confidence that you are more then enough, you get to be who you truly are. You are not defined by circumstances instead you are courage. The courage to go on, change, forgive, face the challenge and pain, grow, feel, be, do, say yes or say no more, live, help and to share.

3. You are bright. You do stand out. Quiet, loud, soft, sporty, lacy, colourful, black and white, shades of gray - your personality is irrelevant because you are bright to all those around you no matter what and they see you, are inspired by you, and will be able to stand in time as you have because you showed them it's ok to.

4. You are love. As a women you have the gorgeous gift of giving love and we do tend to give more then what is required at times. The trick is to allow yourself to receive it too. Receive it, soak in it, absorb it, let it fill you and wash over your heart, give it time to heal and let it remind you that you are not alone.

To me this is what wearing those bright pink heels is all about, when you are ready.
You are born for this time, placed with the people around you on purpose and allowed to take your place in your world because you matter, you are needed, you bring what no one else can and you are valuable.
You get to walk being bright, bold, beautiful, courageous, and full of love.

You are the beautiful.

Bedside Note!

I love bedside tables.

My bedside table is a mess. I seem to always be cleaning it, yet it stays the same.
But, I like it like this the best - messy with my life all over it.
 Most days you will find it covered in bobby pins, several pairs of earrings, always my snugly heat pack, a used coffee cup, hand cream, my diary and journal, books, trinkets and gifts from my family, inspirational and pretty items - the things that encourage me on,  and then...all sorts of bit's and bobs, some glamorous, some not.
I love my messy bedside table because a lot of life happens around it, on it, and with it.
- Dreams are dreamed, ideas are dared, beauty is seen (and tried to be kept, thanks to my coconut oil eye cream), and my day is reflected back to me.
