Lipstick Fun.

I love lipstick.

Bright, soft, glossy, matte, sparkly, moist, kissable, plump, pretty and more.

This month I have been daring myself in Fox In Flats #FABruary style challenge to try or revamp my look. I am loving it.

I have found myself peering into my wardrobe and make up box everyday looking for what items or colours I can match together to feel glam, stylish and fresh = so much fun.

Yet day 12 brought "orange lipstick!" - Ewww I thought. I don't do orange at all.
Bravely I went through the lipsticks I owned and found a coral orange lip stain and a orange lip gloss that was part of one of those 4 colour lip gloss packs you get given.

I cringed and then painted my lips.

What??? Ta da! I was instantly in love. What a shade and what a fresh look.

This is what a style challenge is all about. Getting you out of comfort zones and finding new colours and looks to do just that - refresh your same old, same old look.

Thanks to this challenge I have fallen head over heels for orange lipstick and also a bright pink shade that I would never ever wear until now when I went bright for Day 10.
These will now be my same old, same old fresh looks.

You so have to be brave like me and try a new shade.

Lipstick is beautiful.

MY BEST LIPSTICK TIP: To get the best out of your lipstick colour make sure you match your lipstick tone to the colour tones of what you have chosen to wear and and keep in mind what best suits your skin tone i.e. cool or warm. You may want to try a few different coloured clothes to get the best match or just keep it simple by wearing black or white to start.

Teacup Note!

I love teacups.

Vintage, modern, hand me downs, crazy, and whimsical - it does not matter because I love them all.

I think tea tastes so much better out of a favorite pretty cup. It's a moment during the day that brings a pause, a delightful sigh, and a special feeling.
Sharing a cup of tea out of pretty cups with a friend is also so wonderful and adds a touch of cheer to the 'tea party'.

I have started a teacup collection, inspired by my late Grandmother who I adored. As a little girl I would sneak into her "good dinning room" and peak into her display cabinet and spy on her crazy teacup set of fine china. I thought they were the most beautiful cups I had ever seen and could only wonder what tea would taste like out of them - i'm sure something between magic, flowers, sparkles, and oh so special!

Today her cabinet sits in my dinning area filled with those very same teacups. I still have not had a cup of tea out of them for fear of breaking the spell of my memories and the treasure I feel I have in them. Those cups make me feel close to her, they are a burst of  delicate prettiness just like she was.
I do have other beautiful teacups filling the cabinet now, and I do drink from and take pleasure in using and sharing them with friends. Some are old, some are new and modern, some are just so, so darn pretty.

Teacups are perfect.

Do share/comment below: What is your favorite type of tea?
